Everyday we meet people: at home, on a bus, at work, in a cafe, theater, cinema, while shopping…
We see many different faces and statures, shapes and clothes.
Do we see the whole human being or do we see just a certain part?
Do we see them en detail or are they just short glimpses, moments, even of those people we see everyday? What do we perceive from them? An abstract scheme, a part, their hair, hands, eyes, mouth, their smile? These are moments, a short flickering of reality. This series of pictures deals with it in a mixture of abstract and realistic drawings. The drawings are all made with chalk on a cardboard in the format 50 cm x 70 cm.
